Ring Of Death Help?
« on: February 08, 2007, 08:34:00 PM »

So this is not isolated to launch 360’s, is it? I think this is going to happen to all 360’s after some time. Someone know if there was any change in the manufacturing since M$ is only admitting this to be a problem with launch 360’s. I just wish I could avoid this from happening to my newer 360 I just got rid of the dreaded 3 ring box and was hoping this one will not give me the same trouble. Will a 360 nyco intercooler fan prevent it (attached one in case), or less running time, what is suggested for longer life from our new or refurbished 360 any suggestions? My 360 date is 03-02 2006 sammy drive I was fortunate.

Same date on my xbox 12 24 2005 I just got rid of because of the 3 rings. Maybe where they were built makes a difference?

It just depends, it luck of the draw, you could have a launch 360 that was made with no problems thats lasts you until the next-gen xbox comes out. Or is your unluck you could get a lemon with a weak solder joint somewhere that decides to crap itself one day......

Not saying this is untrue just wondering where you got such precise information from. I have been searching M$ archives asking some experts and there conclusions certainly isn't luck or unlucky where did you get this from is it just off the top of your head.

I just researched the fan and found trouble and thanks do you suggest an additional fan placed inside, as advertised at places and or replacement of the internal fans. I am return the nyco found this on it
Hope it is alright to post link.
