Well we all know about the 3 lights of death and the theory that our issues are due to a poor manufacturing process. What I'm curious about is if there is a correlation between the manufactured date of an xbox 360 and if/when it dies.

So if you have been having the "general hardware" error or the 3 lights of death please post the manufactured date of the console and how long it took before you started experiencing hardware problems.

The idea is hopefully if we can all contribute to this thread we might be able to figure out if there was a particular batch of xbox 360s produced which are problematic. Thus allowing us to steer clear of these problem consoles saving us all the grief.

Thank you all in advance.

My console information is as follows

Date Manufactured: Nov. 20, 2005 (purchased during canadian xbox 360 launch)
Date the general hardware error occurred: Nov. 10, 2006

Notes: Attempted to perform "Hot air rework" fix. Fixed the unit for about 6 weeks after which the problems came back.

This method won't work.
There are plenty of people who have launch day consoles that still work.  Others are on # 3 (myself).  I had a launch console, then one mfr.'d in April '06 that also took a dump.  The data won't get what you want.
