Got Audio, No Video. Boots Normal, No Errors On Rol.
« on: January 02, 2007, 07:59:00 PM »

When you turn the XBOX on it boots like normal, except there is no video.  You can hear the audio, you can even hear it sign into live.  I have done the obvious, different tv and cables all together.  I took the motherboard out, everything looks normal.  Was thinking of touching some points near the a/v connector with solder although nothing looks bad.  This box is for my girlfriends 10 year old and he is a real slob.  I'm sure it has something to do with the way he abuses it, but any help would be appreciated.

I'm sure that you've tried this already, but have you tried changing the HDTV switch on the AV connector from 'HDTV' to 'TV', or vice versa?

Unfortunately, I have.  Video is dead.  I guess my best bet now would be to find someone selling a motherboard with a samsung key?

When I say done the obvious, I have done the obvious.  Motherboard = No Video, but boots with audio.  Period.  Guess it is what it is apparently.

I had a similar experience.  Try something first, just as a favor to me, if nothing else:
Turn it on, and let it sit for about 3-4 minutes.  Then reboot and report if it booted fine, or has the same problems.
When my 360 had that problem, if I let it warm-up, it would reboot just fine.
