Hey everyone, my 360 just took a puke RIGHT after the update that apparently a lot of people are having troubles with. I got the 360 the second shipment that came in on launch. I have yet to call M$ yet and comfirm this but would rather ask on here first before waiting on hold for hours and wasting my minutes on my phone. So if anyone has heard SOLID word that they are fixing these for free let me know. I know i'll probably have to pay shipping and thats not a problem. I dont want to be having to pay 120 or so that microsoft was telling people before the class action lawsuit. Any input would be helpful.

Thanks

I heard that MS had extended their warranty extension to all consoles.  Can anyone verify this or is this just a wishful thinking rumour?

Yes MS has extended the warranty to a year on all their consoles from purchase date.

And regardless if your system was out of warranty, if a software update bricks your console MS will repair it for free.  A software update supposedly causes 2 flashing red lights.  3 flashing red lights is a hardware failure.

I have searched the entire web, only to find the same news story on multiple websites. Keep in mind i have a launch date xbox.... that would be outside the 12 month warranty they are giving us. I have heard they are still fixing these for free for anyone with a launch. I need to know if this is verified.
