My xbox 360 disk drive won't open when the system is upright, it's sticking

somehow.it only opens after a few tries which is very annoying. It opens

perfectly when layed flat... This is the only slight problem which I'm sure

is easily fixed... The system is in perfect working order otherwise

Can anybody advise please!!

Try taking off the faceplate. Maybe it is catching on it.

hey that is very annoying !!

ok
1 ) open your try ...
2 ) power off (with unplug power)
3 ) y your try is open try to close then open do fast for 10 time
( must not close all the way put your thum at end of try )
4 ) ok close all the way
5 ) plug the 360 and power on
6 ) it will do ..

if it did't help you need to clean your ruberband !!

to do this you will need to open your 360 or

3 ) y your try is open try to see you will see the ruberband with dry tower hold the band and
move to trun the ruberband

take out the rubberband and wipe with towel.. works every time for every samsung drive i have done it to

I'm having this exact same problem, it's not the faceplate becasue i've tried it without the faceplate and no go. But what is this rubberband you guys speak of? is it inside the drive already or do we have to do the rubberband mod and it should fix this problem?

the rubberband is inside the dvd drive it connects the tray motor to the gears that open the tray
