Too Many Freezes ...
« on: December 30, 2006, 01:18:00 PM »

Hi,

My xbox 360 started last week freezing in games (and on dashboard too), after thtat I used to see the error 0102 so i decided to open it.

Now, I do not have the 0102 error code mais my xbox still randomly freezes, I can play for 2 or 3 hours without any but sometimes it comes at the first minute, so what can I do (without trying the heatgun), adding some fans ? is there a tuto in here ? (for newsbies lol)
(The warranty has been nuked)

Thanks and happy new year (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I have the same goddamn problem.  Ive tried moving the system out of the entertainment center to cool it down.  I bought a fan that hooks up thru the usb, still freezes.  I took off the hard drive in case of a corrupt file. Still freezes.  Never got the red rings or the 0020 error or whatever it is.  Im really pissed off because it happens so randomly.  Sometimes I can play for hours with no problem, sometimes it freezes in 1 minute.  Any ideas?

add thermal paste. use 12V fan mod plus put some aluminum foil on the heat sink, should work.
