Problems With Programs Showing Up
« on: June 27, 2004, 08:47:00 AM »

I'm having some trouble setting up the programs just how I want it.  When i do a scan and look at the shortcuts, there are programs missing that don't show up like xboxdash.xbe in the C: drive root.  Only 10 items will show up in the shortcuts even though the scan progress box shows 17.  Also, when i click on the C, E, and F drive bookmarks, they are empty.  I have deleted the myprograms file and rescanned, but no change.

Also, I want to have an Apps bookmark, and a Games bookmark.  Can I give one bookmark more than one path to look for programs in?  Like E:\games and F:\games?

I believe it will only scan for files named "default.xbe".  You'll have to rename your apps to that.  Or, you can just use My Files and browse for the xbe, and XBMC can run it.

ok, that seems to make sense.  it's not how i'd like it, seems like it should list all .xbe files instead.  But it still doesn't explain why nothing at all shows up under the drive bookmarks.

what's the best way to set the program section up so that you can have an apps bookmark that will let you start all your apps, games bookmark, etc?
