Version Vs Generation Vs V1.0
« on: December 20, 2006, 02:24:00 PM »

What's the scoup on version/generation?  Is the 1st 360 sold the same version version as the one I have with a 6/26/06 on date?  What types of changes have been made to the guts of the system?  Processor? Memory? DVD drive?

I hear lots of about version/generation of xbox 360.  People saying you should make sure and get the 4th generation xbox.

Are all 360's are verson 1.0 w/ varrious dashboard updates?

My 360 sure seems to run into lots of 'unreadable' disc errors. I have 9 purchased games and have had trubles with 4 of them (dead rising, gow, burnout, table tennis) Would this be a result of a faulty DVD-ROM?

There has yet to be a console revision. At least not until they release the consoles with 65nm CPU's.(?)

People you've heard from are probably talking about the Xbox 1 where they have several revisions(1.0-1.6b that I know of since I left Xbox 1 scene for a while now).
