Wireless 360 Headset Defect Video

Wow, thats shitty.  For people who suggest that they should just put the orig in a box and return it for a new one  are not exactly right.  Maybe some people have more disposable income and time, but if i had an original controller I would expect it to work with any additional products MS releases.   If in the future another product is release and doesn't work with the newest controllers now, then what are you going to do - return all them as well.  MS should correct the problem.

He turns the headset on first.  If you turn the controller on first, then the headset it works fine right?

I had a problem similer to this using the original controller i got with my console on release. Has anyone tried when you switch the headset on and the controller on try pressing the recalibration button on the controller, headset and console. This solved the problems i had.

Yeah, I'm pretty pissed at M$, this wouldn't be the first time they've screwed me over.  But seriously, who only owns the 1 controller for their system?  Its a little extreme to be demanding a new controller from microsoft after you just spent $50 on a headset (plus tax if you live in Cali like me).  I'm no professional but it sounds like something that could be fixed in a update, so I'll just wait, until then I'll use my other controller.

Also the controller I got with my system can't be charged with the play and charge kit, I just switch batteries and charge one at a time.  Bit of a hassle was curious if anyone else has this problem.

One controller or 10 controllers... That's not the point!!! Some only have/need one. Some have more, but what would the point be in having more if they don't work???

I have 2, and switch when the batteries on the current one runs dry. Say this happens midway through a great gaming-session on XBL. What would you suggest? Stop playing because my second contoler does not work as Microsoft has advertised? Go buy another controler to continue using the system I have already bought a spare controller for? Me thinks not, SPARKY!

It should work with ALL controllers, PERIOD.

Power to the people!!

I hope this dude gets his replacement..

I to have had issues with MS regarding this piece of junk....no not the headset the 360 itself! When i first purchased the console it damaged the 2 games i got with it.. Scratching the crap out of them....after countless amounts of phone calls i decided to contact there customer care manager and told him i'll send everything i'd purchased back to him and if they can't see the problem i'll pay them for the shipping.. he didn't like budging but he had no choice as i had given him the option either do this or i'll post it scratching disks on you tube...anyway i sent everything console games etc and waited for A MONTH..... i then ring the person and he said they never recieved the console!!! ahhhhhh

Now i checked the courier to see what had happened and they had a signiture that had signed for the console etc and it was a member of the xbox managment service.. So i ring the customer care manager back and give him the link to the website of the couriers that shows the signiture and guess what he knows the person who signed for it.

Right where getting there now..

He now tells me he'll ring me back.. a day later he ringsback saying he's shipped a new console along with extra pad to my house and that it also included a cheque for £150 for the games and the hassle i'd gone through.......After recieving my console that now has the samsung tray in (which still bloody sratches but not as bad) i've come to the conclusion that the great M$ is trying to cover up as many issues with this piece of crap as possible.. and are denying everything they can in order to keep selling the crap i do electronic engineering at uni and i'm telling you all now this piece of hardware is god damn AWFUL from top to bottom and if it wasn't for GEARS and Halo i would be selling it on hopeing that they wouldn't come back to me stating that it's a piece of shit....

I wonder what happened to my games and console...

I have the exact same problem as this guy.

I have the launch controller & it & the headset don't like each other!! but with a newer one it works fine.

The headset just wont sync to the same quadrant as the controller, it will jump from quadrant 1 to quadrant 2 every time the controller is turned on & vice versa.

I called M$'s call centre & they said "go buy another controller"!!

I had a little debate with them £35/$65 for a new controller no way, I insisted they replace my controller for a new one & now I'm waiting on their answer...

Wish me luck & I'll let you know how I get on...

I called M$ back today about my problem....

They are replacing my controller.... it will be with me in 5 working days.

If your having problems with your headset then call them & make sure they know about it...
QUOTE
So why don't you take their advice? Buy a new controller, put the old one in back in package and return it. If they ask why... tell them it's defective and explain everything as you would here.

If they didn't replace my controller then that would have been my next option!!!

I recieved my new headset today, they sent me the wrong one! they sent a wired controller!

I called them back & they were very apologetic, they asked if I had returned the wireless controller that didn't sync with the headset yet & I said no, they then said they would send me a new wireless controller ASAP & that I had to keep the other two as a way of saying sorry!!

I started with one & now I have three!! rolleyes.gif

I did a test on wireless controllers.  I bought 8 total.  2 controllers from each of the following, Best Buy, Circuit City, Walmart, and Target.  I have 4 of them that didn't work with the wireless headset and 4 that did.  The difference in the faulty controllers are:  1.  on the bottom of the controller packaging there is a sticker that says manufactured by foxlink   2. If you don't have the packaging, The gray plastic on the controller is lighter in color compared to the other controllers.

As we remember foxlink is also the same manufacturer that made the xbox 1 power supplies that burned down peoples houses.  Thats why they offered a free replacement cord with a GFI built in.   Microsoft needs to stop outsourcing work to foxlink and find someone more reliable.
