Topic: 3 Lights No Dashboard (Read 30 times)

Had unit for about a year.....no issues.......all of a sudden, vegas started locken up.....restarted game like 3 times.....kept locking....got error 71 ....one light.....
then after a couple more tries to get it to start.....same thing......so reflashed to orig.bin
same thing.......then after a couple more tries to even boot...started getting 3 lights and no dashboard....when I power it on , I don't get any ring of light at the start.....just the center one and then after a little i get the error codes.......
did the secondary code search (eject / program button) and im getting 1023.....
did a search for that code but came up with little info.....
tried various things suggested and read tons of posts.....just kinda at a loss....
If anyone has any suggestions beside the heat gun, id appreciate the help....

I tried this....AND IT WORKED!
Seemed a little safer and faster then pullen everything apart and heating with a heatgun......and possibly finding out that it didnt work......
Not sure if this will permanently solve my issue or only temporary....but atleast i got a clean boot with and original disc..........dashboard and ring of lights are all back to normal......

Forgot to add:

Wrapped it in jeans....(figured those are dense enough to not catch on fire) then wrapped two towels around that and covered it up with a small throw blanket........Took about 45 minutes before it shutdown (Overheated - 2 error lights).....then i turned it off (its off, button just needs togglen).....and VERY CAREFULLY unplugged video and power cables without moving the console....let it sit overnight......booted up fine .....let game run for 30 minutes ...shut down ....rebooted up just like normal....

Well worked for a little....but now it just did the same thing.....
On power up....no rings of lights at start........no video.......then i get 3 red lights......secondary code saying 1023.....
Does Anyone know what the 1023 code is?
Just not sure if this is something that can be fixed or if the board is just going tits up.....seems like alot of people with this problem.....
Any suggestions?
