Wireless Adaptor Alternatives Please?
« on: December 03, 2006, 04:08:00 PM »

Hi..  im not very computer minded , and i tried to do a search but wasnt quite sure what i was looking for so i hoping someone can give a easy clear answer (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I just bought my 360, and when i got it home  i found i need another adaptor to get it to connect to the internet for Xbox live..
I have a Linksys WAG354G modem/router thats wireless i use on my PC upstairs..   and i see that microsoft sell there own 360 wireless asdaptor that plugs into the back of the xbox so i can connect wirelessly to my router..
But its like £60, and im sure a while ago when i was thinking of doing the same with my old standard xbox i think i read i could use any 3rd party wireless adaptor?    is this still true for the 360 ?   and if so what exsactly is it im looking for ?    Can anyone reccomend something in the UK thats cheaper than the microsoft one and still works as well please?

thank you for any help.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

This  will work on every console and its the same as the OEM one for the 360.
