i have a stock 360 (with modded firmware), however ever since i have had it (even before I f/w modded it), sometimes when I turn it on, the fan inside stars whirring like crazy, and making loud noises. after about 2 minutes, it slows down and the sound is gone. what could be causing this? For some weird reason, by the time gets to the main menu (and normally exactly then), the sound stops. So I am guessing the software is controlling how fast the fan is spinning. Any ideas?

yea i know what ur talking about i have the same problem on my un-modded 360

i thought it was the intercooler at first but its the actual 360 fans making the noise

happens every now and then and stop when it gets to the menu like u said

but i have no idea what the problem is

anyone else got this problem? its getting annoying as it does it every other time or so i load up the 360. i hope something is not broken :S
