Hi,
I'm new to this forum, and to the Xbox 360 I bought mine about a week ago, and have been enjoying playing Halo online again. I used to have a modded Xbox and really missed playing halo, I had been playing Halo Combat Evolved for the PC, and finnally tired of it.
So. Now ive got my 360, im enjoying Hal0 2, waiting expectantly for HALO WARS AND OR HALO 3, not sure how their releasing all that just yet, and i just have to decide what im going to stick with as far as a monitor goes for my gaming experience.
I have a Dell XPS Laptop, M1210 system with a pretty nice, yet small 12in screen. It has a NVIDIA GEFORCE GO 256 mb card with it too, just so you know, and i think the highest resolution it supports is probably 1280x800. Originally i had the idea of being able to play my Xbox 360 using my laptop monitor, so i went out, and following instructions and recomendations from tech support and other sources, i got a tv tuner card made by pinnacle for my laptop with a USB in. Its video inputs are coaxle, rca yellow, svideo and dualchannel headphone style audio input. Suffice to say it works for the tv, and when i switch to component, the xbox 360 shows up, but the quality is lacking, slow, and in addition, ive got an extra little slice of the uppermost portion of what my screen should look like ON THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN.
I guess my question is this; Do any of you play your 360 on a laptop screen? And if you do, what hardware do you use? Unfortuanely all i have for input for my laptop(without this crappy tv tuner) is usb, 1394, and s-video. I think one of the problems with the one i bought, which ill probably return, is its data transer rate.
Can anybody reccomend a good solution for this? Im open to anything, or being told its not that feasable.
At the moment, ive got my 360 in the living room set up to a 46in samsung whopper of a flatpanel, and the picture is awesome and fun, but i probably will want it to be in my room, thats why im trying to see what my options are here.
Thanks for taking the time to read my post, and any info/input is greatly appreciated.

*** Well, i posted this topic before doing a search on this forum, and i did find a lot of results about using Laptop screens for the 360. Seems to me if you dont have a video card with RCA or component inputs,(which are few and far between with laptops) it seems like its not that viable of an option. Though if anyone can contribute information to the contrary, im all ears. ***
