Booted Xbox360 And Error 68
« on: November 25, 2006, 12:20:00 AM »

As title says, i switched my 2 month old xbox 360 on and it came up with a red light in controller 4 port on the ring of lights and i thought  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

i switched the xbox off by the power button, and then switched it back on, and it booted up and is currently working

was this some sort of glitch or could it be a tell tail sign that something will go tits up soon

bit of a vague question , but i'd rather ask than not

obvioulsy it's out of warranty as i have been inside it  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/jester.gif)

cheers

I just experienced this same issue.

Playing Tiger Woods, the controller circle lights all flashed red for a few seconds and 360 shut down.  Turned the 360 back on and have not been able to get any of my controllers to connect.

When I hit the guide button to turn the controller on, then hit the "sync" button on both the controller and unit they will "see" each other but then the controller still won't lock in.

The 360 itself seems a bit warm, but I don't regularly check how warm it gets so not sure if its elevated or not compared to normal.

No mods, no changes from factory unit.

Letting it sit while I dig online and hoping it boots up normally shortly.  Appreciate any feedback or suggestions!

My 360 isn't even a month old and I got an Error 65 just now. I booted with the eject button instead of power and it threw me the code. I powered up with the power button and it's fine. I wonder if i should just take this one back and get a new one just in case.
