I think it's hilarious that the PS3 looks like a clumsy block of plastic next to the 360. Remember all the PS2 fanboy's giving us $hit about the Xbox 1? Now it's time for payback ohmy.gif)

I rather disagree, the PS3 might be ugly, but it is no where near as ugly as the 360, much less the 360 including the growth they call the HD-Dvd Player.   The Dvd Player is ugly, the 360 is ugly, the ps3 is less ugly, My god, Nextgen is nothing but ugly!

I am definitely getting one of these.  I'm going to put it where my regular DVD player is now, so my 360 and HD DVD drive won't be sitting next each other.  Watching movies in HD totally worth it if you are a movie junky like me.  Get mine today and can't wait!

The Wii is not ugly! It's ridiculously lush.  happy.gif

Can any say if know what power inputs will have HD-DVD drive AC Adapter?
Multi-region one like Xbox 360 Wireless Headset(100-240v) or region “locked” like Xbox one et 100-130v?

Well, that's a matter of opinion I guess. I think the 360 looks way better than the PS3. You know, the PS3 has that lame high-gloss finish, that you can't touch or it instantly looks like you wiped it with a french fry or a chicken wing. The black Nintendo DS's are that way too, and let's face it, those are for kids. Who designs this stuff, complete morons? I like the 360's finish. The controllers, though white, have stayed suprisingly clean, I haven't even had to clean them yet, they still look fine. The "inhale" design is cool to me too. What do I know though, I liked the Xbox 1 design better than the PS2, and almost everyone liked the PS2 design better. I think the PS2 looked like shite. At least the Xbox 1 had some character, with the X on top, the jewel, and the fins...

I just find it funny that the PS3 is now the big clunky console, with ridiculous gloss finish. It has that rounded dome top, which looks horrible to me. All of those PS2 fanboys are loving it though. If the PS3 was smaller than the 360 we'd never hear the end of it though...

From the back of the power adapter: 100-240v, 47-63Hz, .7w max

Enjoy!

I am actually really impressed with the picture. I have played both hd dvds and standard dvds as well as backed up dvds including dual layer format and single layer format.

I have a pioneer  578a universal player and this looks just as good when it plays back standard definition movies on dvd.

Also hd dvd movies look very very good, contrast, color it is all there and reproduces a very life like image.

If a person has a hdtv like i do that doesn't have dvi than i recommend this ad on.

I just picked one up at circuit city - then went to Best Buy to get some extra HD-DVD's - there didn't seem to be a HD DVD SECTION in Circuit City.

I just finished watching - SpyGame and King Kong.  Really FUC**N Awsome. My TV only goes to 1080i so I watched in 720P.

I also just bought 10 more HD-DVDs on ebay for $155 shipped.  So thats not bad at all..bout 15.50 a movie.

I recommend getting this add on if you are into watching movies and all about your HOME THEATHER SETUP.  I got awsome Surround sound. a 60" HD picture at 720p and a night at home with the woman!.

My only gripe is you cannot eject the disk from the remote.

The picture looks great! Buuuut what the hell were the asthetics designers thinking? I mean the front of the HD-DVD add on is gray, but the 360 is white out of the box. And the add on front is concave, yet the 360 is convex in shape. Um helloooooo! It looks like crap no matter how you put in next to the 360. What was wrong with making it look like a little 360 lmao. Oh well I will just put it somewhere away from the 360. But ya the picture is great I must say.

HD-DVD all they way and down with Blu-Ray.

I hear you man. at least if they have the tray facing the other side, and they come out with a smaller version faceplate just for the external, more money for u microsoft. now the external drive just wont match my sun orange faceplate.

I used component. And digital out for sound. And my sound was fine. Infact I turned my subwoofer off and it was still great.  You must have something wrong somewhere in your setup if you low notes were muted.

The sound is definitely different than my stand alone player versus my HDDVD player. It seems the dynamic range is different. I have to turn the volume up on my Denon amp but once I do it sounds excellent. It just seems the voices are matched better with the special effects.

On my standalone sometimes the voices would be at a normal level and than when the action happened it would blow me away and be very loud. On the HD DVD they seem more balanced and when I turn it up I still get plenty of base and it gets plenty loud.

All in all it sounds good but I am more impressed with the picture.

Here are some links about the audio and why it sounds the way it does on the 360 hddvd drive.

Also depending on what model denon you have (I have a 3806) make sure you run the microphone calibration and also make sure your night mode is off.

I watched a couple more movies and as long as I turn it up more than usual the sound is exellent IMHO.

Will the picture be the same from hd dvd's if I use componet as if I use vga? I have a Westinghouse LTV-32w6 lcd tv. My 360 is hooked up through componet cables but I could get a vga cable if necessary. Will hd-dvd's on this look a lot better then my upscaling DVD player by Sony DVP-NS75H. Also will this upscale my normal dvds as well so they look as good as they do on my Sony DVD Player? Let me know what you think. Thanks!
