Well looky looky here, we landed an Xbox HD DVD drive. We're already all well aware of what it can and can't do; we just know you want the pics of the unboxing, it sitting next to the Xbox, and maybe a few bonus shots next to a real life HD DVD player. Hell, we'll even throw in some pics of it next to the competition (you know what we're talking about).

^^ buy me one and Ill do it!

Looks pretty gangster.. I still think they should have had the tray come out the curved side...so that way you could stand it up vertical and it would look like a mini 360...

PS3 is looking pretty sleek as well..but, i despise playstation.

And god damn.. that stand-alone is HUGE

Yes, the standalones are HUGE.

I have the HD-A1. I love it. Not a big fan of the boot time, but I manage.

Actually thats a Test PS3,which is worth way more than 1200,I would say its in the 5,000 to 10,000 dollar price range. But Back on subject.I dont know, the 360 HD player is not that appealing, cosmetic wise.Scew the 360 HD player and give me a Test PS3.

Just picked mine up from cirquit city hooked it up and will give a brief first impression.

You have to put a install disk in before you hook it up after everything is updated on the dash where it has the close tray icon that gets changed to close either the 360 or hddvd tray. That is the only change I noticed in the dash or settings menu.

Popped in kong and the picture is very crisp on my mitsubishi 55 inch crt projector. The sound was good but i had to crank it up. I have a denon avr-3806 and when i watch a normal dvd i don't have to turn it up quite as loud to get my desired loudness.

Did I say the picture was great because it is. I did see a difference in picture quality from my upconverting dvd player.

Just a quick review back to the movie.  pop.gif  pop.gif  biggrin.gif

i have to admit it looks pretty shit
i really think M$ should of made 2 diffrent 360's with with HD inbuilt and one without
i think it looks kinda dumb having the 360 sitting there and then having another box connected to the 360 hanging off the side
i cant see myself spending money to buy one
