Joystiq: Xbox 360 Wireless Headset review

We picked up one of Microsoft's Xbox 360 Wireless Headsets and put it through the paces in a video review. It's been fantastic so far, especially when we've been fragging people in Gears of War. It's light enough that you hardly feel it (bringing you that much closer to the game! -- says Sony), and look ma, no wires!

I found this review very helpful. I think it looks easy to use, and apparently the quality is really good. Worth the steep price IMO. Only thing i'm worried about is the muting functionality, as i use mute a lot (i don't like people on live to hear me talking to my family), and hope this "hold down power" thing isn't going to be as annoying as it sounds.

Looks neat. 60 bucks is a little steep, but getting rid of the wire would be real nice.

Weren't the logitech wireless about 60 at one point?

Was this already released nationwide?  Man, I don't do well keeping up with things.  I have been waiting for this for so long mostly because I am always leaving the room between games whlie the next one is loading on Halo and hate either taking the controller with me or removing it from my head.

Awesome!

that's nice, but it would just piss off everyone in the house.  Also, you're still married to your controller, which is a pain to carry around the house or go out on the porch when you just wanna chat.

I think the wireless hs is the way to go for me.

Very nice and the price is much cheaper than the wireless one for the xbox. I think my wife paid like $100 and some change for that one. Great one M$. Gotta have it.

Wow, picked up the headset today after work and it is realy nice.  It takes a little getting used to just like any change, but after a while, you really don't even notice it is there and the voice quality is really comparable to the wired headset.

If you are an active gamer, or plan on being mobile with the headset on, then you will notice it flop on your ear some, but again, after getting used to it, you raelly aren't aware that you are wearing the device.

very nice product
