i bought a new xbox 360 and the drive was an hitachi-lg ver. 78fk.  i plugged it in, put in my harddrive from my old 360. it booted up fine, but when it connected to xbox live to get the user info, and get the update that was available, it automatically rebooted, and then gave me error 71.  so i immediately returned it, and now have a brand new xbox 360 again, but my question is, does that update it downloads cause this?  or did i do something to have possibly caused this?

I doubt the update would have done it, connect the Xbox 360 to live and get the update then if all is succeful try connecting the hard drive.
