Is My Ts-h943 Bricked Beyond Hope?
« on: October 24, 2006, 10:11:00 AM »

Hey everyone.
I decided to upgrade to Xtreme4.2a today, just to be safe if MS decide to go ahead with the rumored firmware checks in the next dashboard.

At 11% it just stopped progressing, I gave it like 30 minutes but it didn't move.
Now I get the E65 and Red lights, I've tried and tried and tried to reflash, but every time i get "Status = 80 (or 00, it's about 50/50), should be 70".

At that point all I can do is abort and try again.
I realize that I should need the Enable0800-disc to reflash, and I do have it, the problem is that the drive's FW is in such poor shape that the drive doesn't even start spinning.

I've tried Andy Hewitt's method about 300 times or something (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) and I still get the same "Status = 80, should be 70".

Anybody got ANY tips or suggestions at all? I really don't wanna order another ms25 from the US, that'll take like 3 weeks :/.

Thanks and buh-bye!

Bah, nevermind.
I'll just order a new ms25.
If anyone is interested in a presumably bricked samsung ms25 for testing purposes or whatever let me know and we'll negotiate something.

Hugs!
