Samsung Drive Officialy Dead.
« on: October 23, 2006, 06:48:00 AM »

Well, after having all sorts of trouble with my TS-H943, the drive is officialy dead.

For who isnt familiar with my problems, http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=552253

The news about the last topic, is that I had also the Open Tray error, but I couldnt solve it with the metod mentioned.

Tried to clean the lens with many metods, none worked.

On Saturday, the drive stoped reading all disc. All disc return Open Tray erros. ALL DISCS. Games originals, Backups, DVDs, Audio CDs, MP3 CDs. Its not reading after all.

There is any way to check if it is just the laser unit, or a more serios problem, like the Drive Pcb???

Im realy lost now guys, any idea would be apreciated.

Ive just set the Pot of the DVD laser to 2.96k Ohms, and its no good. Original was 3.26k Ohms.

The drive still dead, but I will try Divineo or Ebay to get a new laser unit. Once Ive tested, I will post the results.
