X06 Korea: 100GB Xbox360 HDD
« Reply #15 on: October 19, 2006, 10:12:00 AM »

I paid $100 for my 40gb Toshiba Gigabeat, good value too btw.  Although the premium's hdd is sata I still don't see how they justify $4-5 a gig, thats ridiculous. MS of all people should have known that, with the audience they are targeting for the 360, 20gb simply isn't enough.

I thought 100GB and 120GB is standard for a 2.5inch drive, my lappy has 120GB and my
archos mp3 player has 100GB.

I was gonna say that myself, Ive seen far more 100 GB laptop drives, than 120
boy I sure do hope they offer some way to "upgrade" and keep everything

If this is real they must have another use for it. I don't see anyone needing more than 20 gigs unless they want to keep all the demos and all the content from the marketplace. There must be another purpose for it but only time will tell.

How bout the DirecTV blade that we are still waiting , maybe it will add DVR functionality

i find it kinda stupid to have a removable harddrive if there isnt a reason to remove it....
it should have just been standard on all machines like the first xbox was...
and dont give me that bull about some people would choose not to have a hardrive...that like buying your car wiht or wihtout wheels. im alittle mad i cant actully upgrade my "upgradable" hardrive.... unsure.gif

I can't see ever needing more than 20gb

1 word!  Final Fantasy XI!  I only have like 2-3gb free at most times.  And I can only have like 1-2 demos on it at once!

I don't believe it simply because of the fact that MS wouldn't release/announce a new product in Korea first.  Every product MS has ever made has debuted in the US... why start with an X360 drive?  The install base in Korea must pale in comparison to the US.
