Ring Of Light Going Crazy...
« on: October 18, 2006, 01:29:00 AM »

My 360's Ring of Light is acting weird. The light is switching from the upper left quadrant to the upper right quadrant on its own and very often. I am not moving the system. I have 1 wireless controller connected and is working properly while the light switches. If more than 1 controller is plugged in both lights switch at the same time.  I know it has something to do with the sensor inside telling the 360 if its in horizontal or verital position. I have tried gently shaking it and spinning it around a few times. Has this happened to any one elses 360s? Is there any known way of fixing it? Thanks.

hey, i think it might be easier to fix than it sounds. As you should know there is a little weighted switch to tell the 360 if its vertical or horizontal. Cuz when you lay it down 1st player shows in light slot number 2 but when vertical 1st player is in light slot number 1. you see, so if you modded aleady you could replace it or you could try to fix it. but im not sure though. Yeah its a problem with the little ball bearing switch inside the 360 to tell it weather its horizontal or vertical.

If shaking it gently doesnt help, you cant really do a lot unless you take the whole 360 apart and replace the switch
