Hi

I am due to get my xbox360 later this month and now worried i may have the locked new MS 360 drive.

I have found a supplier for a replacement drive Hit-LG with version 0032CE made in may 2005.

I have been reading up on all the flash mods but this drice will need to injected with the key for my xbox.

I was wondering if this is the same key that SAM can inject from the serial number, or if not where i can find the info to do it.

My luck has been rubbish this year and I just know i'll get the new DVD locked drive (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Any help would be great

First if you got a 360 with the new locked drive you can not get the drive key to put in another drive. If you could we could hack the firmware already.

2nd on any 360 box there is a flap once open you can see the serial number and date of manufactuer . Find one made before 8.06

Buy one today.. Do not wait... You should be ok.

Also buy one from a store that easily accepts returns.

Where exactly is the flap i'm thinking of looking at one from argos (as you can view before you buy) so i will be able to check before I buy!!

On one side of the box.. you will see a lift here for serial messgae on the box. it's a flap.. you will see it when you see it.
