ok can someone please look at this product:

can someone give me a newbie description of why its better thanjust doing it the way it says at SATA360.com... like do you have to open your computer and connect it to a sata slot in your motherboard or anything like that.. does i involve opeining any hardware at all???

also it says below:

how do i know if i have one i have a compaq prescario a c and d drive but how do i know if its hitachi??

it can connect your 360's HDD or DVD drive to your computer using USB.  so the only thing you need to take apart is the 360.

the Hitachi-LG message means that only the Hitachi-LG dvd drive (for the 360) will work, not the samsung.  (of course there is no reason to connect a phillips drive up now, cause there is no firmware for it. unless you need the drive key or something)
