Hitachi Drive Wont Eject On 360 But Will In Windows
« on: September 10, 2006, 12:25:00 PM »

ok did the hitachi drive thru the connectivity kit and it started smoking did the connectivity kit and burnt out a track, 5v line (red wire) on the Conn kit

now powered everything down and repaired the track
upon powering up of the pc the led's come on as usual and i can switch between drives on the conn kit
but the eject button wont work now
nor will it eject with the eject button or in dashboard on the 360
yet in windows it ejects and closes no problems ?!?!?

any1 got any ideas
or if there is a little fix i can do to get it to eject via the 360 button
i dont mind wiring a few wires here n there.

the drive flashed and backed up ok no problems.

all help greatly apreciated

yea i had this problem, its a simple one too, the eject wire is connected on the power connecter, the wire probably came out of the snap in connecter. Check the connecter and pull aon all of the wires LIGHTLY and see if any one comes out, if one does, simply remove the metal plug from the plastic connecter by wedging  a screw driver on the top, be careful if you break this connecter ure f**ked although i think llama.com might sell them, anyway, take the petal connecter out of the plastic unit and reaply the wire, if it isnt out of it but just loose then apply a dab of solder on the joiunt to ensure conductivity, if you are unclear send me a message
