Umm I don't know what kind of shit webcam you are using, but any GOOD webcam will start at $49.99, with top cameras starting at $69 and going upwards of $120-$140

The 360 webcam is as good as any webcam I've ever used at the price of $100.

it'll be $199USD, watch.

if there's a bundle, it'll retail for $600 USD just like the PS3 but as the article says the hd-dvd add-on/bundle will prolly come with a couple of movies to make it a little more enticing.

Im sure that the HD-DVD drive will be reasonable so I dont see why anyone needs to get so heated over the rumoured price.

More probable then not the blu-ray drive in the ps3 is going to be a POS for movie playback (what do you expect from a system that will only cost as low as $500, when stand alone blu-ray drives cost around $900). The HD-DVD addon for the 360 will not, and therefor the higher price.

You get what you pay for. If the drive were only to be $100-150 is would be a POS. I at least want something that delivers. $250 i can stomach, $300 is pushing it though.

Looks like those blue laser diodes are pretty rare and expensive. I am glad that the x360 didn't have a blue laser based drive if this is how much the HDD drive costs to make. If MS could get to the 199 US dollar price point that would be nice, however if the drive costs 350 US to make then I don't think this will happen.

I thought that Toshiba would be selling the drive to MS at or below cost to help market penetration, but who knows what is going on here.

to my knowledge this would be the only way us HDTV owners without DVI/HDMI would be able to view High def content movies in 1080i.
