Will M$ repair and opened 360, even if they charge you? Or they won't even concider it?
Well as you might have read on other post my Xbox 360 just died on me, the heat gun trick doesn't fix it. I did mod the firmware of the DVD drive. My Xbox has been out of warranty for a while, can I revert the firmware mod and get M$ to fix it even for a cost? Or how about I don't metion it was opened before had anyone tried this?

Nope.
If it's opened they will simply send it back to you.

they should repair it , sticker or no sticker (not saying that they do but they should)

the sticker is for the warranty purposes, if the xbox is out of the warranty period then who gives a fuck if the sticker is there or not , you are paying for them to fix their fuckups

they might use it as a excuse not to repair it,  but a class action lawsuit should fix it

As has been said; it doesn't matter that the warranty sticker has been removed. That's the point of it, all it means is they won't repair it under warranty; nothing more. They should repair it because that is their job as the manufacturer to repair a damaged product, warranty or not.

The only problem I see here is the flashed drive. They could see this as an attempt at piracy and refuse a repair. I have no idea if it's possible to restore the original firmware, off the top of my head I'd probably say it was too difficult, as I've heard with other things that it is not possible to go back, but who knows.

The way that I understand it is that if you've had it repaired before (read: they sent you a fixed/refurbed console), they don't care about the sticker after that, because you won't have one.   Before that, it depends on who actually gets your console on MS's side.  Some people send it back if the sticker is gone, others don't really care.

And all of you that say "they should repair it, even after the warranty, or w/o a sticker", please grow some brain cells.  If I bought a digital camera that came with a 90 day warranty, used it for a year, and then demanded that the company take it back after that one year, I'd get laughed at by the company's rep.  It is MS's responsibility to repair/replace the console when it's under warranty, with the sticker intact, and nothing more.  Don't come crying here if MS sent back your stickerless, out-of-warranty, or flashed console.  It's your own damned fault.   Removing the sticker with a hairdryer is fraud.  You're decieving (and through deceit, stealing from) a company.

There are many reasons M$ won't repair a console (for free or if you pay them) with the sticker removed.  They know we flash firmware, so they don't want to deal with that.
The main reason, though, is they don't want to repair someone elses' major screw-up failed water-cooling mod or whatever.  There are so many things people do that are SO stupid, you wouldn't believe.  M$ doesn't want to deal with it.

Now, this topic is closed because it's turning into another "M$ should because..." thread.
