Controller's Ring-of-light While Xbox Is Off
« on: August 28, 2006, 07:57:00 PM »

I have a weird problem with one of my wireless controllers. I just got a rechargeable pack, and when its charged up and put into 1 of my 2 controllers, the ring of light on the controller gives a very dim light emission. It's not that it's annoying, but the controller and the xbox are off, and it doesn't occur on the other controller. I think it may be a short or something, because I've been having problems since I got it with the live headset not wanting to work on and off.  Has anyone had this problem?  Think it may be the battery pack giving out too much juice to the controller, or the controller having a short and not turning off properly?  Any suggestions?  Think I can go get a new controller and return this one (hasn't been played with long) in the package  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) ?

Yeah, that's a good link.  I spent over a month testing the damned batteries.  Since it's been a while, I should probably do it again.  My batteries were brand new back then, and have since had time to develop memory.

Thanks, searched but didn't get this result from the blue bloodhound...

Guess I might try to trade up to a new controller, this was eating batteries (which is why I got a rechargeable pack in the first place), guess I may not have noticed that the light was lighting before I got the pack.  It's just another 'feature' that pushes MS's aftermarket products up.
