We noticed a few sites have started to take pre-orders for the X360 USB - this is not authorized and they do not have any stock so please dont make an order if the product is not in stock.

The only places currently that will take first delivery of stock is www.divineo.com and customers that they supply for the US & Europe & www.mrmodchips.com for the UK market - the date of this will be in the next 2 weeks and the price will vary from $44.95 - $49.95 (depending on location of the store due to shipping/taxes). We can also confirm again that the kit exclusively includes the 360 Connectivity Kit v2 - this will not be on sale seperatley.

Once supply has shipped you will be informed - but for now no store has any stock. Also all stores that are authorized resellers of the new line of X360 products will be listed soon on www.team-xecuter.com/x360usb/

Hmm, why cant a site take pre-orders? I mean, the site gets their shipment in, and ships them right out... whats wrong with that? Any not having any in stock.. uhh, isn't that what pre-order means?  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/uhh.gif)

Let him be sicknasty413 im sure his brain cells are still recovering from last time.

And if nobody doesnt want to wait you can find the same USB to SATA adapter on newegg for $20 and also includes a power adapter so you can give power to a SATA HDD.

USB360 is nothing but a simple standard USB to SATA Adapter.

This USB adapter makes it possible to reflash your 360's DVD Drive using a USB port, otherwise having to use your Motherboard or find a compatible SATA PCI card. BTW, http://www.themodchip.com offers this adapter for 39.99 and it includes the Opening kit by Xecuter and a torx screwdriver! They expect to have it on Sept. 6th. Great deal!

Bollocks. It is MUCH more than that... and the firmware upgrades for the XBOX360USB that will follow will show that.

1) It will soon support Samsung/Toshiba (AFAIK, no other USB device ever will!)
2) It will (eventually) support flashing standalone (without a PC present)

no, you'll still have to flash it the same way, u have to dissasemble part of you're 360, take the dvd drive out (or leave it in... you're choice), then flash it then put it all back together and test biggrin.gif

I'm pretty sure this is trying to stress that Divineo is the 0-day retailer of xtender products. Divineo probably saw other site's pre-ing the adapter at a cheaper price and cried to team xtend.

At least that's what it looks like to me, haha.

Come on, it's a standard USB->SATA adapter.  NOTHING about the product is specific for the 360.  Connect SATA optical and hard drives?  Yeah, I can do that with my generic adapter.

Also, I highly doubt the firmware on the Xbox360USB adapter will be flashable.

Sure it will.  Don't hold your breath.

Same as above, don't hold your breath.  Besides, enough folks have bricked their drives even with a status/feedback/backup displayed on their PCs.  And they think standalone flashing is a good idea?

Correction. It is an exceptional USB->SATA adapter smile.gif

The firwmare will be.

Lets see you connect to a Toshiba/Samsung Optical drive to your generic adapter.

Unless TeamXecuter deviated from the reference design and used an OTP ROM then it is definately flashable.

The one in front of me does. But it has a quick n dirty hack to the firmware to get the Toshiba/Samsung drives to enumerate under windows by skipping the identify device portion of the firmware and hard coding an ATAPI device regardless of what is connected (if anything).
