I Have A Modded Samsung With 1.3 Xtreme Won't Play Dvd Movies

i am using the vga adpter, when i try to play a dvd movie it play for a 1 second and freezes and the xbox says tring to read disk. this happens with real dvd and backup movies. it plays xbox 360 games fine even backup ones. I hope the HD drive plays dvds
