On episode 52 at Diggnation they talk about Avalaunch running on a xbox 360,I know for a fact its running on a dev/debug unit.Its not very hard to run homebrew on a dev/debug unit and upgrade the hdd as well as it runs unsigned code by default.

That is fucking awsome no more warranty breaking. You cant leak debug unit software, a "guy" more of a MS rep that it has a weird security system which involves the mem card.

Ok, so you need to open the 360 first then apply this chip, then you never need to open the 360 to backup games? Then the warranty is void at the beginning?

All this stuff is cool to me because it makes things easier.

But...what happened to homebrew scene where people made their own stuff for free or minimal cost.  All these so called modchips/adapters could be built for real cheap.
