No TS drive support?  grr.gif

I hope they get it working - but they need to clarify if there will be 2 seperate USB adaptors, or a "fixed" version released later. The later is preferable to me, as I don't want lots of devices cluttering up my space (already have enough already!).  rolleyes.gif

I also used a sata to USB adapter and mine worked flawlessly. I then lent it to myu mate who did the same thing. I really fail to see the point in this stupid device. You still either need to cross wire the drive or use the connectivity kit to get the drive into mode b so all this thing really is...is a damned sata to usb converter.

Is it confirmed that we still need to manually put the hitachi drive in mode b?  I was under the impression that this device made that for you.

Thanks for the info. And I am glad people are posting there success. This is good.
Did it power the the drive by itself or did you still have to have it connected to xbox360 for power?

People that sit here and argue about the fact that you can get a USB converter etc. for way cheap need to realize, a lot of other people, like me, have a samsung drive and maybe don't want to hassle with the whole mess and want a simple solution. For me, the $45 or whatever will be way worth it, just for the conveniece and the fact that TX has always been well respected and has always provided great innovative products at a reasonable cost imo. wink.gif

I would also like to know. Maybe this is why teamX is one of a kind. Some please inform.

Yes you still need power from XBox360 , but if you use a SATA HDD the Adapter also comes with a power converter  ohmy.gif  nice deal for only $20

Thanks for the info. This is why I will be buying TeamXecuters device. Also it will most likely put it in modeb also. $40 is worth it.

yes you need to do the wire trick or use the Xecuter Conectivity Kit , but if you have the latest firmware you dont need to do any of that since the new firmwares have mode b support inside them so just eject , unplug and turn on the drives is in mode b.

Yes it does provide power. Please read the original post again.
"X360 USB does not require the XBOX to be powered while in use. You can detach the Xbox 360 HDD & DVD and connect directly to your USB port (DVD Powered by Xecuter 360 Connectivity Kit)"
Unless that means 360 kit as in the first one must be used for power. If so then there info is just written wrong. Cause they state that it can be used with a laptop.... and that wouldn't work out right.

we will be also selling a molex psu that you can just plug into a wall socket - or you can buy these from any electrical goods store. I use this on my own laptop every day - so yes its correct.

I think it's a good price but it's more expensive when you need the other connector to put the drive into modeb, it's a shame they didn't bundle something with this for an all-in-one solution.

why were you under that impression when from the first day we said you need to have the connect kit (and v2 of the connect will be released at the same time - cleaner design, power on/off for hot swapping and ive asked resellers to sell it a bit cheaper)

who says resellers wont be bundling ?

whats the point of adding the connect kit with the x360usb when half of the people who buy it will probably already own a connect kit or not need one ?

theres no such thing as adding it in for free.

The Xecuter USB to SATA Adapter only connects to the sata port , you still need the XBox360 to power up the drive , the drive without power doesnt work and cannot be flashed.

You need to waste $45 for the Xecuter USB to SATA adapter plus the Xecuter Conectivity Kit that doesnt come with the Xecuter To SATA Adapter. you will end up paying around $80 for everything , when for simply $20 at newegg.co  you can find the same thing TODAY and much more better than the Xecuter products cause it comes with a power coneverter. not just a USB to SATA adapter.

Read again , dont get your money stolen dude , im just trying to help you save money man.

Ok next question. Has any one been successful on programming a sammy with the usb connector that they bought from newegg or what ever. I would assume you need to load drivers or something in dos mode. In other words is it possible. Cause I dont see it being done. But if its possible please let me know.

no its not - the next version of X360 USB will support Samsung

and to the asshole who says we'd never do it - who the fuck do you think you are talking to ? we cracked most of the shit you ever saw on the Xbox - we're not some kiddie fiddler 14 yr olds who havent done this shit before

i dont think ill bother giving xbox-scene $000's worth of free poducts to give away again - its pointless with all the whing idiots posting useless crap every day.
