I second that the only parts that are married are the mobo and the dvd drive, but a dvd drive's key can be changed easily so if you know the key that goes with a particular motherboard, you can get a different dvd drive then replace the key in that dvd drive with the one that matches your motherboard, then that dvd drive will be "married" to the mobo.

You can use any RF board (it's interesting to note that once you "connect" a controller to an RF board it will continue to be connected to that RF board even if you move the board to another motherboard).

Also you don't need the power brick, there are a few tutorials floating around to modify a PC power supply to power the 360.

thanks man, im actually kinda scared to do this since i've read all the issues people are having with their systems....  there's TONS of broken ones on ebay!
