Error 65
« on: August 17, 2006, 12:32:00 PM »

I havent flashed anything myself, just inserted a DVD copy of an XBOX game. Since then it has been giving me an error 65. At a certain point I was able to load my XBOX but then it refused to open the DVD tray. What are my options now?

Do I need to flash? If so am I still able to get the original data from the DVD or is it broken? And do I need a specific kit to flash it?

Or can this be solved in another way?

Thanks in advance!

If I had to guess Nothing is wrong with your drive's flash if you haven't ever touched it... probably just the DVD drive having problems of it's own. If it wont eject the disc I'd say they're more mechanical problems then hardware related.

Just send it back to MS, or take it back to the place you got it.

If you were going to do this yourself you'd probably have to replace the whole DVD drive.
