While I'm waiting for the XBox.com forum moderators to allow or deny my post, I thought I'd also post it here.

Is it time for a petition online or a call to the Better Business Bureau about XBox 360 lockup issues?  Mine started locking up last week while playing Halo 2.  It locked up a few times last night in Halo 2, sometimes just at the Start screen or when trying to find an XBox Live game.

After locking up in Halo 2 a few more times tonight, I decided to try Quake 4.  Quake 4 worked fine, and I was able to complete a level without an issue.  I decided to try Halo 2 shortly afterwards, and it locked up while connecting to Live.  I then put in Halo 1 and it locked up when loading the cutscene.

Is it the backwards compatibility emulator, heat, or the manufactured date of this particular XBox 360 that is causing the lockup issues?  Many of you are having similar problems after playing Dead Rising, Chromehounds, or their demos.  I have not loaded or played any of these titles.  It seems like many of these 360's are ticking timebombs?  Is it time to get the government or business community involved.  I'm reluctant to format the HDD or sent it back for $129 to get a refurb.

Mine was purchased in December 2005, and I really haven't had an issue until last week.

Please advise, what's the next step to address this widespread issue.  Check the forum for the past 2 weeks, issues are rampant.

Thanks for listening...   (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)
