I'm Pro-scene, anti-xecuter. I don't know why you came over here to defend your selfs (Or even if you legitimately represent Team-Xecuter), you usually make it a point to reply to a forum post from Xbox-scene on your own private warzone so your team can moderate it more easily to weed out the numerous 'haters' that attempt to tell it straight or give criticism.
Try doing something based on Atmel AVR Chips. I've seen your groups work with PICs and the product I have using the PIC sucks.
I'd like to see your team try to release something that isn't another DVD firmware hack or hard drive connectivity kit. Then Xecuter may get on my good side and I will buy the chip as soon as one is avalible from my favorite store and a 360 and mod it up.
we have never used pics before in our high end products so PLEASE tell me what you are talking about ? This particular project has been coded with PIC in mind as its EASY for hobbiests to play with. Its 30 lines of code ffs. WHats the point of releasing advanced VHDL logic when this is supposed to be a public hobby project ?
you have a long history of bitching about us for not legitimate reason so your post and its content is not surprising at all.

I agree. Why are people trying to drag this down? Any development that improves anything at all has got to be a step forward.
9 times out of 10 its morons who have never done anything for the xbox scene and just like to piss on anyone as it makes them feel good. You get these types everywhere

Ok, so Xecuter is giving us a free homebrew DVD modchip. Rad. Guess that should be normal considering they've been standing on the sholders of the real hombrew devvers for about 4 years now whilst shamelessly taking credit and profit. (remember the LBA48 mod? The "completely original" hack that Xecuter "discovered" shortly after it was discovered by a homebrewer? Yeah....)
Seriously, ya'll, Xecuter has designed some good modchips but that's it. Since when have they become the messiahs of the scene? Since Xbins said they are?
you sir are a complete tool
Ill not even go into detail on all the firsts we acheived - how you can say we released on the back of others makes you sound so fucking stupid to the general population who know the history of the scene - but I will bitch slap you with one that you mentioned
if you can find ANYWHERE where we say we discovered the lba48 hack then ill kiss your ass. In the meantime you can also download all our nfo's where we give credits for other peoples work we used - with permission - and one in particular is oz_paulb's lba48 hack. What a moron.
EDIT: here i dug out the old press rls and text from the nfo

We have also implemented the LBA48 concept originally discovered by
OzPaul. Coded in C we used the same principals to get LBA48 working
efficiently without using any of his GPL code (We should add the
sources given to us a couple of months ago were beta and not with ANY
GPL notice and used with OzPaulb's permission). For those that are
interested we didn't use OzPaulb's partitioning system (read partition
from hdd block 0) or the highcode/lowcode system. This hack is now
embedded into our X2 source so you can use two versions of our bios.
One for LBA48 6 and one for LBA 48 6+7 (LBA48 6 is one large F
partition - recommened for new HD installs, and LBA48 6+7 is for
those who want to extend your current F drive to its larger size
without losing any data). For those who dont know you were
previousley limited to a 137GB drive - now you can have up to 2 TB

(2199023255040 bytes) or 2000 Gb for the *ahem* uninformed.
The hack is still entirley credited to OzPaulb.

dear me what has this thead turned into
i dont understand why people who dont like stuff speak up, and the people who do like and do appreciated this for how big of a step it is, never do !.
its definiatly a problem in this world of ours ..
and a problem that will cetainly harm the scene as a whole .. because they start bitching becuase they dont fully understand stuff ! .. good example is the whole bitching on the title !! if you understood it and can read then its clear what there saying, and even if ya dont the text that follows more than explains !
so from me its a BIG up to what there doing ! .. and for all of it to be on a PIC chip will be GREAT for the hobbist, at which this is aimed at !
what PIC chip will it be on ? the 16f range , or /jk the classic 509 /jk hehe
just wundering, due to compatiblities for my exsisting programmer
and the comments on Xbox1 bios's, i do agree i think EVERYTHING is covered in options and support...
one thing i spose that 'could' be done to complete the xbox1 range of bios's would be an Injection system for the x2 type (like we saw in the Ind-Bios, which sadly never did really reach its full potentiol, and all in 256k !!! (which they too lost there sources, which is why they never completed it)
again from me and all true hobbist since the first classic xecuter1 days a BIG thankyou

for giving the modchip back to us to play with

and not stuck in the retail world
thanks Mick ....
someone with a brain - great !
OK we decided on using Ubicom SX series of chips. It will work on any chip from SX18 upwards. Decision to do this was 3 fold
1. There are a lot of ppl out there who can understand the language. many of the PS2 homebrew projects were done using this IC.
2. Its one of the fastest pics - does a lot of jobs that a cpld would do (not as good granted - but easier for hobbiests to work with)
3. There are a shat load of docs on this chip and language. Plus there are loads of homebrew programmers available - the best being "Fluffy2"
Oh and regarding an "injection type" X2 bios - the last few X2 bios's had X2 Config Live included where you could choose as many different options as you liked. Released for free of course. again.
Hope this answers your questions
