Xbox 360 Motherboard Component List

They are all Capacitors..

C - Component type, C = Capacitor, R = Resistor, etc, etc. http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=605292
4 - Column
R - Row
11 - Number of part in that grid, i.e. it's the 11th cap in that 4R section.

Every one of those you listed is just a decoupling Cap and not going to cause it to 3RL if they are missing. Look for damaged/severed traces where the parts were 'removed', and if that's all fine then you're just back to [1] on the 3RL fix.

Im pretty sure they are causing the problem because the xbox worked previously to this and now will turn on then within one game of call of duty come up with the 3RL do you happen to know they're values so i can replace them?

Wasn't a very smooth move to take it apart then if it already worked. If you want to know the exact values you'll have to call up M$ and ask them, or just get replacements from another 360 board.

i obviously wouldn't have taken it apart if it was working it was already apart from me fixing the xclamps and heat sink compound and had been working for 2 days then i had knocked them off when i was making sure everything was tight before i put it back together and i thought you had a board you cant just measure the values for me?

I knocked C54U off my board while removing the x-clamp from beneath the GPU. Sounds like it won't cause a hardware failure on its own, but do I need to bridge the connection or is it ok to leave it as is?

Oh, by the way, before I found this thread I was looking around online trying to find what exactly the little part was that I knocked off the board. I came across the schematic for the xenon motherboard on scribd, which has all the parts listed as well as their respective values.

You never bridge where a Capacitor was installed.

Hi

Today my friend give me broken (3RROD) console. When i take out motherboard i found that component C4R29 (under GPU) is missing. Is this neccessary for properly working X360?

I downloaded diagram of X360 and i found that C4R29 is a capacitor with 4,7uF 6.3V values. May I skip replacement or is it crucial component?

Additionally when i clean up GPU dies from rest of thermal compoud i found that one corner of small GPU die is little crushed (about 0,1mm or even less). That may be reason of RROD?

Thank You for any reply

I have a Jasper motherboard (it says 12.1A on the back) and it was made in 02/2009.  Do all Jasper motherboards have internal memory?  Here is the issue, someone spilled pop on this board and it ate away D9F1 that is by the front USB ports on the top of the board.  It that piece really needed?  It seems to run fine otherwise.  I thought that all Jasper's had internal memory though.

Thanks!

@ national - C4R29 is not a critical component, it's just a decoupling capacitor. The crushed part on the GPU die is most likely fine as well and not causing the 3RL issue.

hey

I need info on the coil at L9B1.

Inductor coil ?   is the slang term a choke ?   Coil is verticle, has center rod, and looks to have 9 turns.  Some have 15 F stamped on them

Please give plenty of details.  And where might I go to get replacement.

thanks

My board has burning marks around C2D3. Does anyone know values for it, should it be replaced and could I steal replacement from somewhere from my board? Is that part so important that it could cause booting issues on my JTAGed Xenon( http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?sho...p;#entry4693470 )?

I received an RROD xbox 360 and one of the resistors was missing. C4R3. I was wondering what value it was and if it needs to be on the board for it to function properly. Also the board has cut traces. I will use an oldschool trick and hopefully it works. Pencil lead.

I've seen this happen a lot, hell, I've done it myself, you break off a component on the motherboard, then have no idea what it is, to find a replacement.

I just bought a dead X360 motherboard, I've pretty much given up on fixing it, it's pretty far gone (fell off a balcony), so here's what I'm gonna do:

For anybody that has broken off a component on a 360 mobo, give the part number on the board and I will remove the part from this parts board, measure the part, and reply back with the value so you can find a proper replacement. I may offer some of the larger components for sale (connectors, switches, coils, capacitors, larger IC's, etc).

I'll keep you updated, this is definitely going to be my parts board unless by some miracle I can fix it (Best I got out of it was to boot then freeze immediately in the little startup animation).

Later

-Tim

Hey capacitor c6u1 blew up like a firework. can I have the specs on it please if you are still doing this. Also do you know what will cause this to happen and is it required or can I just unsolder it and leave it off?
