My 360 Tends To Overheat And Start Lagging
« on: July 10, 2006, 03:23:00 PM »

Okay, so the problem is when i play movies/games, after a little time, i can feel alot of heat coming out from the xbox360, and the picture/sound starts lagging awfully (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Could this be caused by overheating or?

Is there any solutions to it? My box has allready been popped open, so i geuss i could open it again if theres anything i can do about it.

I was thinking over the paper thing under the heatsink that should've been removed that MS forgot or something?

You could try it. IMO it doesn't always work for everyone. Your choice though. I did mine after I started getting 3 red lights flashing and it only helped it keep working for about a week longer. It's sounds like you would rather just do that anyway so give it a shot. No Guarantees.

Sure, open it up and remove the heatsinks and look for that tin foil. If it's there remove it and put some cooling paste on it

I'd do that if someone could confirm it works (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
