Topic: Dvd Tray No Longer Opens When Vertical. (Read 75 times)

Anybody hear of this problem or of a possible fix? If I open the tray when it's horizontal, I can turn it vertical and it will close, but won't open while in a vertical position. Maybe it's the bezel or something? Any ideas, friends? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I was thinking something might be stuck, but obviously whatever it is can only move in the way of the tray while vertical because it always opens perfectly while horizontal. Anybody with some experience working with the 360 DVD drive that can think of things that could be in the way? Could it be something with the how the sensor recongnizes its vertical or horizontal position?

I have this problem as well - my tray works 60% of the time in the vertical position. It's nothing to do with the bezel because i took it off and it did the same thing.

I put something in the the manual DVD eject hole and that seemed to make it better though.

well..when i first bought my 360 i had this problem..would only open like you said about 60% of the time...the first timei tried to open it it wouldnt open at all.. it wasnt off track or anything just kinda stuck... my solution i just returned it and got a new one...i dont know if you have this option..

my xbox 1 does this. It takes about 3 or 4 trys to open the drive...
