I'm wondering if anyone else is having the same problem.

So I hooked up the xSATA, and everything seemed to be running fine. I can run all my demos off the harddrive and view all the movies. When I plug in the usb cable I can use xPlorer360 on my pc to back up my HDD.

But with the usb unplugged and going into Marketplace, every video I try to download gives me a Status Code Error of 8007012b. It's not the connection because I unscrewed the super tight xSATA topper and it does the same thing. Also I doubt the connection would be good for playing what's on the hard drive, but not for saving to it??

What I'm wondering is if this was a 'feature' that I overlooked. Do you have to remove the xSATA everytime you want to download new content?

If anyone could help I'd be grateful. Thanks!

you need to restart the 360 after unplugging the USB cord.

Oh I've done that. I sent an email off to the Datel guys, but I have a feeling I'll be returning this to Best Buy next week.

When I bought it at Best Buy, the cardboard box had a plastic hard shell case over it. You have to cut that open to get to the box. Inside the box is a cardboard divider to hold the xSata in place. It's in one of those electrostatic bags you find pc cards in. Other than that there's the instruction booklet and the cd loose in the box.
