i like this option alot because my laptop in no way comes close to supporting the firmware flash that is needed the normal way.

I don't plan to disassemble my 360 as yet, so if anyone has tried this it would be useful to know...

with the generic usb2sata can you just hook it up and use slax cd to get it into modeb?

i am having heaps of trouble with the stupid sata

It's not that easy. I haven't flashed mine yet, but i understand everything you need to do. You aint press on a flash button lol, you edit the firmware with your own hands on a program and such.
