The only reason to buy it if it helps Sil3112 owners with the drive detection.

I have had SATA on every board I have bought in the last 2 years. For those bitching about it, get with the program.

These are great products! Now you don't have to have your 360 1/2 disassembled within cable's reach of the PC so you can backup your games. I am all over this.

Stop being a hater, and make something better yourself if you don't like it.

I should clairify.

I like the product idea, I do not like the team anymore.

So I will wait for similar products from other teams.

What a bunch of hypocrites over there, they hate piracy yet post a huge list of games that are known to work with the firmware patch.

there is most definatly a problem with sata. the fact is not everyone in the world has sata on board and now relies on a pci solution. at the moment there are no cards working that use any of the silicon image chipsets sil3112 and sil3114 do not work at all (personally tested as well) and that is due to a hardware limitation. too bad almost all the pci cards have this chipset. that is why we were hoping xecuter could release something to fix this but i guess not. even if they promised a sata to usb converter they still have yet to deliver or show anything about it still. while that lamer guy was bitching i have went and found a pci card that does not use the silicon image chipsets and is quite cheap and will work until an adaptor is made.

hope this helps anyone!

"High quality", eh? Compared to what, bare breadboard? Because when I think "high quality", I think of something like the Datel XSATA, which (not to advertise) has a case AND a SATA to USB bridge, so you can just hook it up and transfer through USB. Now, with this Xecuter product, not only is there no case, but that fancy-lil' USB connection can only POWER the drive, not transfer data with it. You still need a SATA controller in your PC to use it. That only really makes it useful if you want to install your XBox360 HDD in your PC internally, unless you leave the side of your computer open regularly. Not very feasable.
Really, if ya'll think bare parts are "high quality", I need to question the standard of expectation that the scene's degraded to.

Well I don't know about your Sil 3114 but my board works great for dumping my games

I used the first set of SATA ports to flash my drive and then the Sil 3114 ports to dump my games

I can’t believe some of the negativity in this post.  I think the source of the negativity is from lazy people who don’t actually enjoy modifying/hacking hardware and all they want is one quick and easy solution to fund their greed for games.  They don’t want to know about the technology they can’t use there own initiative/judgment and on top of all that every piece of information has to be spoon fed.   It’s a complete joke in my opinion.  If you cant use a computer and don’t have an interested in technology keep your opinions to your self.  If negative people want to post try and be constructive, ask questions and do some research.

I will defiantly buy the adapters.  It’s a clean hassle free way to connect the HD and ODD to a box.

have you ever heard of a legal backup? firmware discussion is allowed here on the x-s forums, does that mean x-s condones piracy?

There were such things as legal backups until the Digital Millenium Copyright Act was signed into effect.

that doesn't make it piracy, and the dmca hasn't been tested in court against fair use. also i'm pretty sure 90% of team xecuter is from europe, the dmca has nothing to do with them

Sorry ment On ebay there is a Sata to ide converter, surley that would work, you would just plug it in where your cd plugs in.
