I ordered this when it was first announced but was later told that they did not have any in stock. Just checked my order on codejunkies site, and it still says out of stock. wtf....

It shows up as being in-stock right now. Under Availibility it says immediately.

That's been like that for some time now. I think bummer's reply is accurate because he checked his actual order. If it shows up as "out of stock" for those that have already paid in full, then the status of the product hasn't changed regardless of what their site claims. Since no one has said that they received their XSATA yet, that should be a good indication to not place an order for it yet.

well if you order one now, youll get the first shipment - it might just take a few weeks though.

I've already spent my biweekly allowance on xbox 360 stuff so i'll have to wait for my next paycheck (i give myself $60 per paycheck to buy games and other things for my game systems - otherwise i would spend my entire check!).

I ordered mine two days before it appeared on X-B scene. For some reason, I wasn't charged shipping, but a flat rate of $40.00. I was not charged an extra $10 when the price went up.

Honestly, the money isn't a big deal, my savings on shipping will far outweigh any interest the $40 would gain, and despite claims of being days away, other than 360sata's first batch (which i missed), noone has been able to get any out to market.

I'm letting it ride. My money's staying on this one until another HDD adapter comes out, if one arrives first. Then i'll fight the charge through my credit card company to save me the hassle of 30+ minutes on the phone with Datel.

I emailed datel multiple times and they have not responded, I am highly interested in the Xsata, but Datel doesn't seem to be giving us any info. Has anyone recieved it yet? The 360Sata does the same thing but it is not a hub, but they have not updated their site, responded to emails, or given any info at all in over a month. What is going on?

Personal gut feeling is that they are "selling"/preorder these XSATA as a way to either cover the cost of developing or manufacturing it. I've sent them an email querying when my order will be filled as the availability is now listed as immediate on their e-shop. I'll update back when I get a reply.

Alright, I got a response. This is Datels Answer

"Unfortunately, there was a delay in the release of the Xbox 360 XSATA.
The XSATA is currently in the final production stages and orders for
this item are expected to ship during the 2nd week of June.

We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause."

I think this is good news

, but then again it could be delayed again.

I'm getting really sick of this considering a lot of people ordered and payed up fornt expecting to get it immediately and then to discover it was put back. I also recently discovered that PLAY.COM (UK site) will have it in stock for £10 less than I payed direct to Datel. After experiencing thier customer service I'm a little bit wary of even bothering to try and get a refund from them. My order actually is listed as 'shipped'. Ha!

Play.com has the release date as "availability: Due for release on 30/06/2006"
