has anybody been denied a replacement/repair because the unit is out of warranty yet?  Sounds like sooner or later, ALL OF OUR XBOX's WILL DIE A PREMATURE DEATH.  sad.

No I dont know anyone. I think after the warrenty you can still get it fixed, you just have to pay.
