X2VGA 2 High Definition VGA Transcoder

I had the same problem with my VDigi. Dark scenes were totally unplayable. I feared playing Halo 2 on Live on BackWash, WaterWorks, and Gemini. I could never find any combination of settings on the VDigi dipswitches, brightness knob, or my monitor's controls. That's why I always preferred my original X2VGA to my VDigi.

A1. The X2VGA2 shows PERFECT colours. It's even better than the original X2VGA I had.
A2. There are dipswitches on the bottom, but I don't know what they do, because I didn't receive a manual, and the PDF version isn't on their site, yet. However, I don't think I'll be touching any of the dipswitches, because I love how it looks on my monitor right out of the box.
A3. I've only ever tried the X2VGA2 with my Xbox.

If you play around with the brightness settings and dip switches enough on the Vdigi, you will get better results than with the X2VGA2.

I have used some similar products so far, but the screens are either too bright like a layer of thin mist or too dark that makes the whole picture on the screen unclear. I just wonder if the X2VGA 2 have the same problem?
The problem of screen brightness you have mentioned above is caused by incomplete process of image signals. Nonetheless, we have made lots of efforts to improve the circuit of image signals on the X2VGA 2, so it won't happen the same problem. The X2VGA 2 is made of the best quality rivals to the topmost professional equipment that you cannot find in other products of the same kind.

This is false advertizing and is completely untrue!!!  Dark scenes in games like Halo2 are still way too dark when displayed on a PC monitor.  Switch to the X2VGA2's alternate brightness setting, and the image appears too bright and washed out "like a thin layer of mist".

I bought the X2VGA2 solely because of the above statement on their website, hoping to get better "brightness" than with the Vdigi unit.

To make matters worse, Neoya will not return my e-mails on the matter.  I'll stick with Vdigi's transcoder....its much better.

Yeah I've repeatedly tried emails with no response. keep me posted tpd on if you recieve yours and I'll do the same. I'm starting to get worried and may just have to go to PayPal.

Also I currently am planning on running this on a normal 4:3 (Resolution 1260x1080 I think?) LCD monitor. I'm also looking at getting a widescreen monitor that will display at 1460x900. Would it look better on the widescreen or will it look the same on 720p? I assume the same as both can display that resolution fine but I wanted to know as if it will be the same I'll go with another regular sized monitor.

I just ordered from them too... I have not heard anything from them other than an auto-generated order email.  I've emailed them twice asking for approximate shipping date and have not had a a reply yet...

If they don't respond soon... I'll have to contact paypal and/or my CC company.

I have finally given up.  I filed a paypal complaint agaist them to get the money back.  I tried to be civil, but the lack of response is distressing.

If you did use paypal to pay with a credit card, you can create a new paypal account with that e-mail address and credit card number.  if you do, the transaction will show up in your history.

If your e-mail or CC is attached to a different account, you will need to remove them from that account and go though the new account process.  this is the only way according to PayPal support.  Once you do that, you can file a dispute on the transaction.  It will take up to 30 days if the seller refuses to reply.

Yeah I gave up a few days ago as well and they never responded to PayPal as well. I'm not sure what you mean about new PayPal accounts as I was able to simply do it in mine as it was less then 45 days past. I assume it was 45 days for you or you should be able to do it from your account.

Well this suck though. I'm going to buy the XBox VGA for my comp monitor for awhile and see how it runs, I'll keep ya posted. If I don't like it I'll keep trying to get in contact with Neoya and see if I can get my hands on a X2VGA. Good luck!

I meant that if you used PayPal option but paid with a CC instead of the PayPal account.  It makes a 'one time use' account in PayPal's system that isn't attached to anyone.   That was my extra issue.

I did the same thing when I got the e-mail.  I think the mounting paypal disputes finally woke them up.

I'm not quite understanding how this is better than the official VGA cable.

The official VGA cable allows the 360 to choose many different "monitor" resolutions, such as 1360x768 or 1280x1024.

Wouldn't that be better for most computer monitors since it would be more native resolution instead of feeding a 1280x1024 monitor 720p resolutions?

If you want 2 things connected through one VGA cable get a simple VGA switch box and the actual VGA cable.

Mine works for 30 minutes - and then everything gets blurry. I have to turn it off for 5 minutes - the problems reappear shortly thereafter again.

Bummed out.
