X2VGA 2 High Definition VGA Transcoder

ALL THIS IS , a switch to have more than one system connected to  your vga monitor and also lets you keep ya pc connected as well along with more than one system. so u can have your xbox and xbox 360 connected at the same time to the vga port of your lcd/crt monitor. and to add  it if you have the right cables and your monitor supports it u can  have your system displayed in hd.

but i'm not satisfied with that one now i want to buy x2vga2
plz tell me is this one better than Progressive-Scan Component VGA Box

x2vga support video bandwith upto 180mhz (-3db) while the other one that i have support 50-60hz will it make any difference in picture quality well i have old monitor 2000 model and it support 720p and 1080i and it is a widescreen monitor.

huh.gif

Hot damn..... it amazes me how many people have no idea what a transcoder is, and what HDTV resolutions are.

People, please do yourself a favor and look up 'component to vga transcoder' before asking any more questions.

Audio is *always* separate..  Unless it's an HDMI system like the PS3..  Do you own a game console?

640x480 = 480p
1280x720 = 720p
1920x1080 = 1080i

- If your monitor can display it, you can get that resolution with this device.
- It won't look distorted, the device will take care of the aspect ratio (like most videocards will).
- 16:9 is part of the "true" HDTV spec
- On a 4:3 monitor, 16:9 anamorphic video will be squished, unless you can tell your Xbox 360 you have a "4:3 HDTV", or this device supports letterbox (my guess is it does)

on their site they say "MS disables the high-definition video output on the PAL version Xbox(only sold in Europe, Australia, NZ, Hong Kong etc.), so it cannot work normally with the X2VGA 2." my xbox is pal and modded, so if i play ntsc games on it will this work? or has it been disabled all together?

as soon as you've set your xbox to NTSC mode, it behaves like a genuine NTSC-XBOX.

so switch to NTSC (Enigmah Video Mode Switcher), activate 480p-Output in MS-Dashboard (Settings -> Video) and you're ready to go...

that means ready to use the X2VGA  biggrin.gif

EXTRA TIP:
with the newest MS-Dash version 5960 you can easily switch it to 480p progressive.
hold left and right trigger + press left + right thumbstick wink.gif

I own the former X2VGA 1 and it's definitely the best transcoder for the XBOX out there.
So if the X2VGA 2 is nearly as good as the old one is, you will be stunned seeing a crisp picture like this.

so go get it!
