it would just have both colors lit up at the same time.

Thats what it is supposed to do. If my memory serves me correct.

You are supposed to get a blank screen. Try and telnet into the xbox after you load the gamesave.

its weird, because i have 2 nic's, once going to cable modem, other going to xbox via crossover. When i load the save game, windows shows that the nic going to the xbox gets disconnected and then reconnected after a short time.

hrm meh oh well, Its still weird that it doesn't even let you telnet in. You can do that regardless if you soldered or not. it didn't even prompt for a password or user?

Also try disabling your nic that goes to the cable modem. Its probably trying to go through the default gateway.

OK, all is well so far, for some reason the orcastra would work with optical, so switching the cables back to the regular fixed that, i was able to telnet when i disable my NIC that is hooked to my cable modem. Now the only problem is its still in chinese, and i when i telneted it didnt find the raincoat DIR, so gotta make sure it it was on the mem car i used and make sure the DIR is how it is supposed to be

Great, Thought I'd stay up just a little longer to see if you got it flashed. Now I really got to go to sleep. I'm pushing two and a half days without. Hope installing avalaunch solves your problem.
