I tried a mod awhile back and completely messed up the black power wires going to the dvd drive... luckily i had an old broken xbox lying around... with a slight modification the yellow power wires of old work fine for the 360... you might not even have to modify them but I switched one of the white end connectors. Justr thought I'd share...

while I'm posting, I bought some 3mm leds for the "ring of light" mod and I cant seem to get enough power to them to make 'em light up...same with the wireless controller... is there a 5V spot on either the ring of light board or the controller?
