Error Codes
« on: January 27, 2006, 08:53:00 AM »

For those of you blessed with the 3 red lights here is a tip to get the error code out of the flashing.

Turn the xbox 360 on, and wait till the 3 red lights are flashing. Now Press and hold the sync up button (the small white one) while holding that button in now press the eject button. That gives you the first number in the code (Will explain the numbers later on). Now release the eject button and press it again, thats number two. Again press the eject button. Thats number threee. Now once more. That number four, the last. If you press it Once again it goes back to the 3 red flashing lights. You can see the difference between the Error code numbers and the normal flashing lights by thier flashing speed.

All four lights flashing - Zero
One light flashing - One
Two Lights flashing - Two
Three lights flashing - Three

0001-0002 power supply problem
0010-0013 over heating
0102 - unknown send for repair

if anyone knows any more info please post it up. or has corrections.

Yea, i have had a broken 360 since dec. And have been waiting for a box since. So i just fooled around with it. Then last time I talked to someone they told me some of what it means. I guess I could just call up and make numbers up to get more info. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Still waiting for my damn box too.

No not at all, and who ever moved it thanks. I usually just read. All I ask is that i get credit for the info. Reason i posted it is because noone ever talked about it figured it would be useful down the line. Think ill give support a call and con some info out of them.

I split out the error codes from the general FAQ topic and added this info to that...

diacronic your name is at the bottom under "contributions by" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

this is great info, thanks!

Hey i´d like to add this info:

i got "0020" error with my console, it´s been said its probably overheating, and yes, kinda.. im pretty sure its gotta be GPU overheating (my screen used to show weird colors over and over, like an interference... till it just fried), eventually it gets fried and you got nothing else to do but to send the xb360 to MS and wait.

a week or so before that i got E71 but i dont know what that meant, just rebooted and played fine..
then i kept getting freezed and then the  damn 3 Red Lights...

hope that helps in any way
