I've seen this on 2 different units. after the unit is turned off one or all of the internal fans continue to run. all the lights are off. cycling power seems actually get it off. Both unit I've seen this one can charge and play kits. I don't know if it is related. I can't remember it happening beofre I got those.

Has anyone else seen this?

is the light on the psu orange or green when the unit is off and fans running?

Thats because it stays on low power mode to charge up your controller, after its charged it shuts fully down.

he he he yup and i also read it somewhere on the xbox website. You have to have the controller plugged into the charge cord before you shut down your console if you want it to charge, if you turn off the xbox and then plug it in then it wont do anything. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Alas it is true

I plug mine in to charge when watching a dvd,
when I turn the 360 off, the 360 is still powered on (you can hear the fans and the P&C kit light is red)

It turns off once the battery is fully charged and the LED turns green

The PSU light is Green whilst in low power mode. and goes back to orange when the 360 turns itself off

It doesn't stay on for long (mine doesn't as my battery topped up often)

But it will only work if the P&C kit is plugged into the 360 whilst it is still on and the led is lit,
if the led on the P&C is not lit and you turn off the 360 before it is ready, it will power off as normal.

Did that make sense?
